To explore a deterioration and disorder in our society, it’s important that the examples are real or close to what’s really happening. This novel produces stories that are very close to the truth. The most grotesque accounts are just as real as the events that inspired them. The incidents all happen within the last year of a teacher’s 32- year career and center around a school district and the outside activities of the main character. The subject is corruption in education with an attempt to explain why there are not only student shooters—but shooters in every sector of our political/ socio American environment.
